Water to drink, to cook, to do the laundry, to wash yourself and to wash the dishes, it seems so obvious! But will water always be available? Will it always be drinkable? Will there ever be a war for water?  Water as expensive as fuel, is that possible? What is the water situation in the rest of the world?

So many questions this exhibition tries to give an insight in and sometimes an answer.

In October 2011, the Atomium will for the first time in its history participate in Europalia.

This year, Brazil is in the spotlight. The Atomium takes this opportunity to propose the modern Brazilian architecture (from 1930 to 1960). This small exhibition introduces you to an exuberant, humanist and utopian architectural style. The central figure is Sérgio Bernardes.

The model of the Brazilian pavilion, which was designed by him, for Expo 58, can be (re) discovered.
